Oblig8 was founded by Ashrita Patel. Ashrita has 20 years of experience. She is a qualified Solicitor who trained and qualified in private practice before moving in-house in 2009. She specialises in legal, regulatory and governance matters in the financial services industry, specifically, insurance. She has held various senior roles in the insurance industry, including:- General Counsel; Head of Legal; Company Secretary; Head of Compliance; Head of New Market Entry; Head of Human Resources; and Interim Director of European Operations.
Ashrita’s knowledge, skills and experience include: regulatory compliance (advisory); insurance – sales and distribution (commercial and consumer); corporate governance; company secretarial; general commercial/corporate; transformation/change management; market entry; strategy; people; Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) (DipESG). Her market experience extends across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
